On April 11, 2025, DAWN Microfinance headquarters officials met with members who were affected by the earthquake in Meikhtila, Kyaukse, Myithar, Thazi, Wundwin, Pyawbwe, Yamethin, and Sintgaing, asked them about the current difficulties they are facing and the issues related to future recovery, and provided them with financial support. They also met with DAWN staff and provided financial support to those who were affected. DAWN Microfinance has already donated over 150 million in financial support to members in earthquake-stricken areas for their initial donations to be used for recovery and is planning to continue making necessary donations for recovery efforts in earthquake-stricken areas.
