DAWN Microfinance Donates to Flood-Affected Areas

On September 23rd, DAWN Microfinance led by officials from the Head Office along with staff from various departments, personally visited and donated clothing and food supplies valued at over 450 million kyats to more than 18,000 households affected by flooding caused by Cyclone YAGI. The donations were directed towards both employees and community members in the flood-affected regions.

As an organization focused on providing financial services to micro-entrepreneurs and small businesses in Myanmar, DAWN Microfinance aimed to support not only its employees in the affected areas but also to help the hardships faced by member households. The donations, including essential clothing and food items, were systematically packaged and distributed to the relevant areas.

This donation effort reached 16 Towns severely impacted by the floods, including Yedashe, Pyu, Oaktwin, Lewe, Taungoo, Yamethin, Pyawbwe, Meikhtila, Thazi, Kyaukse, Myittha, Wundwin, Sintgaing, Hpa-An, Kyaikhto, and Zeegon.

Special thanks were extended to all DAWN Microfinance employees who contributed both financial and manpower support to ensure the success of this donation activities.
