JOB PURPOSE

Based in DAWN’s Regional Offices, but with frequent visits to the branches in respective region, the incumbent serves as Collections Officer, reporting to Deputy Collections Manager (DCM)/ Collections Manager (CM) of DAWN.  The incumbent is responsible to assist collection process to control delinquency for Business Units.

In addition to the key responsibilities listed below, the Collections Officer will complete miscellaneous duties assigned to him/her from time to time by the DCM or CM of DAWN. The incumbent is responsible for assisting to design training material, case studies, training and coaching branches to prevent and control delinquency, supporting prevention and recovery strategies.

Job Description

  • Plan and coordinate to control delinquency prevention and recovery for respective region assigned to his/her Region according to the norms established by the CM.
  • Ensure that recovery activities carried out by him/her and his/her personnel are made according to procedures and Client Protection Principles.
  • Assist to DCM to set the field visiting plan to Branches and submit periodic reports to CM.
  • Analyze delinquency problems together with teams and prepare report how to get solution together as well as conduct delinquency management training and share critical problem-solving field issues with case studies in each branch.
  •  Monitor for delinquency preventions Branches, sent region-wise report to Region Head and CM directly.
  • Assess and monitor to ensure all staff follow policies and procedures and report to CM as prevention program together with DCM.
  • Assist to DCM to prepare report to CM based on trend of PAR rates of each Branch in assigned Region.
  • Assist to analyze delinquency by area, branch, LO, reason for delinquency, loan amount, activity, time of disbursement, etc. to provide risk, credit, product, operations teams with feedback on portfolio performance.
  • Provide feedbacks and recommendations to Operations department regarding delinquency.
  • Assist to DCM to provide monthly delinquency analysis reports to Senior Management through CM.
  • Develop analysis tools for file tracking, delinquency management reporting.
  • Visit local authorities in several area/towns to assist to RH/BH to control delinquency in certain area/town.
  • Negotiate with respective group members, guarantors and local authorities to solve delinquency problems, assist Regional Head to reduce branch wise PAR rate.
  • Check PAR rates every day/week and do plan to visit with priorities and must be able to travel to branches immediately if necessary.
  • Maintain clear records of collections, visits, calls to clients so delinquency efforts can be analyzed.
  • Assist to DCM & CM to provide delinquency management training to staff.
  • Maintain a high standard of discipline and teamwork together with the Operations team.
  • Ensure that a strong corporate culture to promote cooperation with Branches and other Departments, efficiency, service quality, Client Protection principles and high ethical standards in the delivery of financial services is implemented.
  • Provide work plan and assist DCM to provide yearly master plan and budget plan.
PERSON SPECIFICATIONS

o   Myanmar national Any degree holder

o   Minimum two years of working experience in MFI

o   Ability to work under pressure

o   Problem solving skill

o   Excellent communication skill

o   Must be able to travel anywhere across Myanmar
